The small rooms can be overwhelming and uncomfortable but, fortunately, we can use some design concepts to fool the eye and make them appear larger.
1. Use light colors: light-colored walls are more reflective, which helps maximize the effect created by natural light. However, this does not imply that the walls have to be white, there is a whole range of paints in bright colors.
After choosing the color of the walls, you have to choose colors and trim cuts. Should choose the same tone for the walls or a slightly lighter color. 2. Place mirrors: the mirrors can cause a favorable impact on the appearance of a room. A large mirror will reflect light around the room, both natural and artificial, to increase clarity and making the room appear wider. They are especially effective when placed near a window.
Use cabinet doors with mirrors or glass front to make the space seem more spacious and clear.
3. Place furniture on angles: place one of the largest furniture at an angle. It is not necessary to place it in a precise angle of 45 degrees, often a lesser angle looks best if you can balance the vision with other furniture. This works because the longest line of any room is to the diagonal, place the furniture at an angle leads the eye toward a wider distance.
